BCH Employee: Suicide Prevention - Bhim Thapaliyaa

Mr. Bhim Thapaliya is a registered nurse by profession and currently works in the mental health field.With years of experiencesin non-profit and community project management, Bhim is very passionate about bringing awareness/education on mental health by creating positive difference in his own community. Bhim graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of science degree, is now an entrepreneur, advocate and community organizer for refugee and immigrant communities.

He currently serves as a Project Coordinator, where he leads trauma-informed initiatives that center mental health, suicide prevention, and culturally responsive care. Trained in Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), Bhim brings both clinical insight and lived understanding to his work. His efforts aim to uplift vulnerable populations—especially those impacted by displacement, trauma, and marginalization—through education, outreach, and healing-centered engagement.

L.B. Subba is a dedicated member of the Board of Directors at the Bhutanese Community in Harrisburg (BCH), where he brings his passion for leadership and community service to the forefront. Beyond his role with BCH, L.B. is a home-based entrepreneur and a devoted enthusiast of online business automation. With a unique blend of grassroots experience and digital savvy, he empowers others in the community to explore new economic opportunities and embrace technology as a tool for self-reliance and growth.
