Mental Health Crises Response

Mental Health Crises Response

January 25, 20251 min read

In response to the growing mental health crisis within our Bhutanese community, we conducted a crucial community meeting this afternoon. Key stakeholders, including representatives from the Pennsylvania State Refugee Program, Office of the Medical Doctors, Pennsylvania Department of Health Equity, Dauphin County administrators, Bhutanese doctors, Mental health therapists, providers, and insights from the Police Department, collaborated to address this pressing issue.

We extend our gratitude to all community leaders and experts who participated in this important discussion. The shared knowledge and diverse perspectives have laid the groundwork for a comprehensive plan.

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing the formation of a Task Force dedicated to engaging in more rigorous discussions and responses to these critical mental health needs.

Together, we can work towards a healthier and more supportive community.
