Current Initiatives

Project Bhalakushari: a five-year research project in collaboration with Lehigh University. This research focuses on Bhutanese individuals aged 50 and older, exploring how their experiences of forced displacement and life in a new country affect their mental health today.

Project Community Center: redesign of one of our office spaces into a culturally centered community hub that will feature dedicated work areas, a reading space showcasing Bhutanese literature, and thoughtfully curated cultural elements.

Project Pathway to Hope: a community-driven suicide-prevention and mental-health awareness initiative providing practical, skills-based training and open dialogue.

Past Initiatives

BCH Mela 2025: hosted at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC), this Mela continued the tradition as Pennsylvania's biggest Nepali cultural parade, drawing over 25,000 participants. The event showcased cultural pride, community unity, and a dynamic lineup of performances and activities.
